Welcome to the Shawangunk Ridge Farm (SRF) Website!

We’re a family farm with a view of the Shawangunk Ridge (hence the name) in Ulster County, New York, that has been selling products such as cream, goat-milk soap, and wool for more than 8 years at farm markets and festivals.

We also hold classes teaching how to make goat milk soap, dance, (though really anyone who can walk can dance) drama classes, natural building,  identifying and using herbs, and felting, among other things. Shawangunk Ridge Farm is listed as a Botanical Sanctuary with United Plant Savers.

Our farm animals include Toggenburg goats, Icelandic sheep, an Icelandic horse (he’s quite woolly), angora rabbits, and very loud roosters that like to wake us up, be it morning or not.

SRF is run by Halyna Shepko, Richard Hamilton and family, which includes Sana, Zoya, Stefan, Lexi, and Zorian, and we can’t forget Baba and Dido as well.

Each of us has a part in doing chores. One of mine will be to keep this space updated . . .

Our home is located in the Hudson Valley, New Paltz (where we have a shop) and you can contact us via email to place orders:
